For something a bit different why not try a stay on the water in Amsterdam's well known floating hotel, the Amstel Botel Amsterdam. Since the beginning of 2008 the hotel has been moored in a trendy dockside area immediately to the North of Central Station, which has a bohemian feel with workshops, artists' studios and hip cafes. A great plus point is the fact that they also offer a free ferry connection and shuttle bus service to Central Station. The cabins are compact and so we have chosen to feature the hotel as a 2 star superior (officially rated 3 star) but all have en-suite facilities and are well maintained. Staff are friendly and there is plenty of room to relax or even have a game of pool in the bar area. A good value, budget option.

Transport Connections

Airport(s): Take a train to Central Station (approx 5 Euros one way) and the hotel is a short ferry ride or shuttle bus ride away. Alternatively a taxi direct from the airport takes around 30 minutes and costs approx 40 Euros.

Parking: Free parking is available close to the hotel.
