Hotel Herzog

The ever popular Herzog offers something quite charismatic in contrast to many hotels of its kind. Aside from its cosy charm, there is a complimenting blend of Bavarian hospitality mixed with a splash of Tuscan décor giving the hotel a real cosmopolitan flavour. An intimate reception opens onto a pleasant lobby bar with dark leather sofas and great restaurant with an impressive menu to suit all tastes. Extending out onto pretty gardens, for sure you'll be impressed by the detail here. It's a pleasure to find such a relaxing retreat amidst a small feature fountain and great BBQ corner which sees the occasional brunches served on Sundays. Many of the rooms offer private balconies, some of which overlook the garden. Situated close to some of the city's famous beer houses and quick and easy access for all parts of the centre, the hotel is a great find.

Bedroom: Some of the rooms have been recently refurbished, rooms have either twin or double beds and most have a balcony overlooking the pretty courtyard / garden. Facilities offered include: Satellite TV, radio, mini-bar, internet access and WC with bath and / or shower.

Reception: Manned 24hrs, offering info service, leisure activities and car hire can also be arranged from the friendly staff, and laundry service is also available.

Restaurant: Newly designed Italian style restaurant offers great attention to detail and extensive menu of international cuisine.

Breakfast room: An extensive hot and cold buffet is offered that is often variated on a daily basis.

Bar: The lobby bar is open until late.

Garden: Great patio garden in which to relax and unwind with a drink or even take breakfast (subject to weather conditions). Sundays can be particularly pleasant with the occasional Sunday brunch arranged (payable locally).

Business facilities: Laundry service available. Currency exchange available at reception. Laundry service available for guests.

Family facilities: family rooms for four persons are available. Baby cots and highchairs can be requested from the hotel.

Disabled facilities: None The hotel has a lift and is situated in a flat area. There have been no specific modifications made to rooms.

Within 20 minutes walk: Marienplatz and the historic centre, OctoberFest grounds, bars and restaurants.

Transport Connections

Airport(s): Bus or train to "Hauptbanhof" main station c. 8.5 Euros and underground to "Goetherplatz" c. 2 Euros. Taxi direct, 45-50mins, c. 50 Euros.

Train: Underground station Goetheplatz 100 m (2 stops to Marienplatz, 3 stops to main station) or bus stop Kaputzinerplatz outside the hotel. (bus nº58 to the main train station).
