Hotel Heythrop Park (Chipping Norton)

A Grade II listed building truly impressive in style and size; in addition are modern annexe buildings which house most of the hotels bedrooms. The hotel is set in its own grounds will full leisure and makes a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds and Oxford. The main building has high ceilings and ornate furnishings reflecting the wealth of the Duke who built Heythrop in 1700's. You can relax in the sumptuous public areas which includes bar and restaurant. Contrasting with this are the modern, annex building and bedrooms which offer bright, functional, accommodation. The gardens are well maintained and offer 440 acres of grounds; there is an indoor pool and a gym.

Bedroom: All rooms are non smoking; the bedrooms in the modern annexe building are of an average size; modern and bright with light wood furnishings and power shower (no bath tubs) they offer clean functional accommodation, these are allocated as standard rooms. Within the main house there are 17 bedrooms which are large and traditional in style with many original features (these are upgraded room types and available at a supplement and subject to availability).

Restaurant: Traditional style restaurant located in the main building; open daily from 07.00 to 09.30; 12.00 to 14.00 and 19.00 to 21.30 serving varied menu of English, French and Asian food.

Bar: Hotel bar located in the main building open daily from 10.00 to 00.00; snack menu available.

Garden: 440 acres of landscaped grounds and gardens.

Business facilities: There are 60 syndicate rooms which cater for 10-60 people; 12 main rooms which can take up to 500 delegate theatre style.

Family facilities: There are some rooms which are suitable for 2 adults and 2 children; there are no interconnecting rooms available; highchairs and children's menu available in the restaurant.

Disabled facilities: There are some bedrooms with specially adapted bathrooms.

Within 20 minutes walk: Hotel is set in 440 acres of hotels grounds; there are picturesque Cotswolds villages a short drive away.

Airport(s): Train from London to Charlbury then taxi to the hotel; Taxi direct to hotel - costs will vary greatly depending on which airport.

Train: Charlbury Station is 10km away (direct train from London) there is no taxi rank so ideal to pre-book a local taxi cab.

Parking: Private uncovered parking free of charge for hotel guests.
