Hotel Hotel Residence (Garden View) (Taormina)

A very central hotel in the heart of Taormina old town with the added bonus of a small but secluded garden patio area where guests can enjoy a drink under the shade of lemon trees! This is a great hotel for those travelling on a budget as although rooms are quite simple, with compact bathrooms, they are generally well maintained and the management endeavour to show their guests the best of Sicilian hospitality! The hotel does not have a restaurant but being right in the centre of the historic centre, there is no shortage of options to choose from.

Bedroom: Safe available at a cost of 5 euro per week/stay. Air conditioning is available at extra cost. Both are payable locally.

Bar: Serving drinks which can also be taken in the garden area.

Garden: Hotel has a small garden area immersed in lemon trees.

Family facilities: Rooms for families may be available on request. Cots are at a charge of 5 euro per day (payable locally).

Disabled facilities: Not suitable for guests with walking difficulties as steps lead up to the hotel and hotel does not have a lift.

Within 20 minutes walk: Hotel is in the centre of Taormina old town. Cable car down to beaches can also be reached.

Transport Connections

Airport(s): Taxi direct from Catania airport approx. 80 - 100 euro. Company 'APT' runs a bus every 20mins from approx. 5am until midnight to and from the central station of Catania. From here train to Taormina-Giardini station (approx. 4 euro) then short taxi ride. 'Etna trasporti' (www.etnatrasporti.it) run a bus which goes to Giardini Naxos and Taormina from the airport. Frequency will depend on season so check websites or tourist office.

Train: Bus stop approx. 500m from the hotel. Cable car entrance is about a 20 min walk from the hotel.
