Hotel Hotel Riga

The hotel was built in 1878, but it was completely destroyed during the Second World War and in 1956 it was completely built. The Riga Hotel has lots of hidden history: it had the first lift and telephone in all hotels in Riga. Fantastic location, on the edge of the old city and just across the street from the Latvian National Opera; this traditional, elegant hotel enjoys an ideal location, in the heart of the city. The hotel furniture may look a bit dated, but it is clean and comfortable. A casino, 2 restaurants and a nightclub are available in the hotel.

The hotel has 5 apartments available with separate living and sleeping areas. Subject to availability and rates.

Bedroom: Some rooms are facing the opera house, some are facing the park. Triple rooms can be three separate beds or double bed and extra bed.

Bathroom: Shower only.

Restaurant: The hotel restaurant "Grill 89" offers various meals; dishes of the day and an à la carte menu. Food is freshly cooked using local produce. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Bar: Hotel bar is located from the lobby and is open from 19.00 until 07.00; also serves snacks.

Garden: The hotel has outside garden area with outdoor sauna and dipping pool open in summer months.

Business facilities: There is a conference centre at the hotel with various conference rooms and facilities such as OHP, screen, flipchart, TV + VHS, CD-player, on-line Internet connection, WiFi.

Family facilities: There are family rooms available subject to availability and rates.

Disabled facilities: The hotel has 2 bedrooms which have been adapted for wheelchair users.

Within 20 minutes walk: Latvian National Opera, the Freedom Monument, main shopping and leisure area.

Additional Hotel Facilities

Spa: Two saunas are available for hotel guests. The small sauna takes up to four and the larger up to ten persons. Both saunas have a steam room, shower and seating area. During certain times in the morning and evening the sauna is free of charge to hotel guests. During other times following charges apply for one hour; Large sauna 250.00 EEK; small sauna 150.00 EEK; barrel sauna 500.00 EEK. Check with reception.
