Hotel Minos Bay (Standard Room)(Karteros)

This is a colourful cluster of rooms and apartments in the well placed village of Karteros, the first main resort from Heraklion and only 7km away from the airport. It's a great option for fly drives and exploring the island, given the hotel's close proximity to Heraklion and the East and West coast of Crete. The beach is just 200m away, whilst the pool offers a relaxed area to simply relax and enjoy the gardens. The reception area offers a bar that becomes quite popular in peak season and breakfast is served in the area overlooking the pool.

Bedroom: The standard rooms are simply furnished and offer views of the resort, the hillside, and / or the pool area. Rooms can accommodate an extra bed for a child sharing and all rooms are equipped with a colour TV and direct dial telephone. The rooms each have a private balcony or terrace. There is a charge made locally for the use of the safety deposit boxes.

Restaurant: The restaurant in the main building is quite informal and relaxed and serves a range of light snacks and meals.

Bar: The bar forms part of the main lobby reception restaurant area. It is open until late and extends out to the pool area in high season.

Family facilities: There is a separate children's pool and a small playground.

Disabled facilities: There have been no specific modifications to the hotel, though this is a small cluster of buildings with ground and 1st floor level. The surrounding area is flat but there is no lift access to rooms.

Beach: The beach is just 200m away from the hotel.

Within 20 minutes walk: The beach, shops, restaurants and bars.

Pool: The outdoor pool offer is open daily (please see hotel opening times), there is a sun deck for bathing and a small children's pool to the side.

Gym: There is a small gym offered to guests for those who would like to continue their regime whilst on holiday.

Transport Connections

Airport(s): The airport is just 7km away and offers easy access to the hotel with a taxi for just c. 12-15euros.

Train: The closest bus stop is on the main coastal road 150m away from the hotel.

Parking: Street side parking is available for guests, limited spaces available and free of charge.
