Hotel Van Belle

Traditional family run hotel where service and values are as important now as they were when the hotel first opened its doors in the early 40's. Public areas are cozy and spacious and interspersed with the history of the hotel you will see around the reception area are some quirky modern touches which give this hotel a total style of its own. Bedrooms are simple, a good restaurant and few antique furnishings create the character whilst a welcome addition is the free shuttle service that gives you free transfers to / from the Gare du Midi.

Bedroom: Rooms are simply furnished but quite well appointed and offer good all round accommodation for those seeking a value for money stay.

The hotel's unusual design means that there is lots of space and new parts to the hotel to discover.

Reception: Spacious reception area operational 24hrs a day. Car hire and sight seeing can all be arranged here. WiFi Hotspot is available within the hotel (small daily charge applied by hotel).

Restaurant: A charming little restaurant offering a cozy setting amidst subdued lighting romantic décor. A good little offering for a hotel of its class with a simple but hearty menu operational daily.

Breakfast room: Funky little breakfast room furnished with Philip Stark chairs in vibrant tones, and bright décor to set you up for the day, very refreshing feel and in complete contrast to the style of the rest of the hotel.

Bar: The bar is operational between 4pm and 12pm and offers drinks and light snacks during this time. Outside these hours there is also a drinks vending machine in the corridor that allows you to buy cheap beers and soft drinks to take to your room.

Garden: A small patio garden to the rear.

Business facilities: Conference room. The hotel also boasts WiFi hotspot internet access in the public areas (small daily charge payable to the hotel).

Family facilities: A family room for 4 is available on request. Free baby cots are available also.

Disabled facilities: The hotel has lift access although no special arrangements have been made.

Within 20 minutes walk: Gare du Midi, Grand Place (just), Beer museum, shopping area, café bars.

Transport Connections

Airport(s): Train to Gare du Midi (2.40 Euros, 15min) or taxi direct (c.30 Euros).

Train: "Clemenceau" (metro station - 10mins walk) or bus stop "Liverpool" outside the hotel. (bus N046 to the centre).

Parking: Private parking (6 Euros / day ) secured large car park to the rear of the hotel.
