Located in the popular Lapad cove area of the town the Villa Rasica offers a unique resort style, budget option for your stay in Dubrovnik. The villa itself was the summer residence of a wealthy family and now houses the restaurant, whilst the accommodation can be found in individual bungalows built on to the terraces leading down from the villa. The style is basic, but well maintained and there is a great atmosphere as many guests choose to sit out on the terraces to enjoy a drink, socialise and watch the sunsets over the sea. Official rating is a 3 star tourist park. Bedroom: Accommodation is in individual bungalows that are built on to the terraces below the main villa. All have twin beds that can be arranged either next to each other or in a top to toe style depending on space and some, but not all, have air-conditioning. Specific requests need to be made at the time of booking or any of these bungalow types can be allocated. Bathroom: Bathrooms are basic but clean with a shower and a toilet. Reception: The reception can be found on the right hand side of the pathway, after passing through the entrance gate. Restaurant: The restaurant can be found in the main villa and serves a buffet breakfast and dinner. The half board option is recommended if you wish to eat in and offers good value for money. Bar: There is a terrace leading off the main villa where drinks and snacks are served throughout the day and in the evening there is a lively atmosphere with people sitting out and enjoying the views and the occasional live music. There are no fixed closing times, but usually the bar stays open until around midnight/ 1a.m. Garden: The resort is surrounded by the old walls of the residence, with the accommodation being found in the grounds of the original building. There are several areas where guests can relax outside. Family facilities: Due to the size of the bungalows it is only possible to accommodate one younger child in the same room as the parents. Most of the requests will be in an air-conditioned bungalow with twin beds and an extra bed. This should be requested at the time of booking. Cots are free of charge for infants under 2 years. Within 20 minutes walk: The beach and all the facilities to be found in the Lapad cove area; bars, restaurants, shops etc. The bus to Dubrovnik old town runs until late in the evening and takes approx 10 minutes. Transport ConnectionsAirport(s): A taxi direct from the airport should take approx 30 minutes and costs around 225 HRK, although car hire can also be arranged for collection at the airport. Train: The closest bus stop is around 50m from the hotel and there is a regular service going into Dubrovnik old town. Tickets are cheaper if you buy them from reception and cost only 8 HRK each way. Parking: A small car park can be found at the entrance to the resort. Please NoteDue to the large number of steps at the property it is not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties. Hotel is closed for winter from 6 October 2006 until 27 April 2007.
