Reservations Consultant

The ideal candidate will have a confident and friendly telephone manner, excellent written and spoken English, and be able to work under pressure. He/she will be a good team worker with a fine attention to detail and accuracy.

Applicants for this position will need to show that they are:

  • Bright and enthusiastic with a passion for travel.
  • Committed to delivering a high quality service to customers.
  • Literate and numerate with excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office products, particularly, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Previous call centre or travel experience is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Based at our newly refurbished offices in Croydon, South London, you will be working for a young and lively company dealing with customers seeking your help to book holidays with major tour operators to the worlds' most popular travel destinations.

Full-time positions work a 5 day week (one day of which will normally be either Saturday or Sunday).   We welcome applicants who would prefer a part-time position.

By achieving realistic targets, you can expect to earn £16,000 to £18,000 per annum (full-time), with excellent incentives for performance over target.

Tour Operation Manager

The role will involve the following:

  • Identify target destinations/markets and prioritize them. Identify potential suppliers of accommodation to those destinations. Objectively assess potential suppliers, criteria to include:
  • Range and quality of stock, efficiency of systems (XML, back office etc.), commercial terms (price, payment terms, cancellation terms), client support in resort, financial strength, bonding
  • Choose suppliers and prioritise their integration into our sales channels and back office systems
  • Liaison with Product Manager
  • Project management of selling on the web and back office integration into MARS (our back office system)
  • Manage relationship and commercial terms with major suppliers to build strong, long-term partnerships
  • Promote our own products internally, working with Sales Manager, Training Manager and staff to encourage our staff to sell our products successfully

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in tour operation, must be confident using Microsoft applications. Excellent written and spoken English, attention to detail and a careful methodical approach are essential.
